Whether travelling first or second class, rail travel is cheaper than in England. Language is never too much of a problem, but get to the station early if you should need help. Important to remember train tickets have to be validated in the machine, usually located near the doors leading to platforms.

Travelling by Bus

Travelling by Bus is cheaper still and equally easy. It could be a great adventure at very small cost, with pratically every village accessible. Tickets for buses are usually sold at tobacconist or in sweet & newspaper shops. If unable to find a ticket office or the bus is due to depart, ask the driver. He will even delay the departure for you!
Same rules apply, tickets have to be validated on the bus.

Travelling by Taxi

Like most European Countries, this means of transport is quite expensive. It's advisable to ask the taxi driver beforehand how much your intended journey will cost. This will avoid surprises.

Beaches in Le Marche
